Before we begin, I would just like to say Happy New Year everybody! Thank you for all the support you've given me over this coming year - both with 'Pretty Little Notions' and here on 'Creative In The Arts'. I'm really looking forward to more exciting projects over the next coming year! So in no particular order at all, let's begin!
Remember when 'Teen Wolf' was adorable, light hearted and soft thriller? Those days are so gone. God - look how far we've come. This upcoming season looks incredibly dark and intensely terrifying. The Beacon Hills gang are now vulnerable pawns in a game that has really expanded outside the world of werewolf hunters, mythological creatures and alpha packs. This time the gang seem to be facing their worst enemy yet, and this isn't just physical anymore. It's psychological, which makes it all the more terrifying!
Since starting my third and final year of my degree, I have found that I've had less free time on my hands - especially with all the things I've been getting up to outside my classes. Sadly because of all the work and things that I've been getting up to in my spare time, I've really had to cut back on a lot of things I loved doing; reading, watching television and films - basically consuming anything entertaining. My inner fangirl is literally crying on the inside, especially with all the new book and film releases appearing in the pop-culture sphere. So to satisfy my breaking heart, I decided to compile a list of all things fictional, which I will devour during the summer of 2014 when I have finally finished my degree. It's not actually as far away as I thought ... So without further ado, here is my fictional checklist for this upcoming summer!Feel free to recommend me anything that you've loved, or maybe things that have caught your eye. I'm all ears! Maybe you've seen any of these shows, films or read some of these books? Comment below - I'd love to know what you thought of them!
"What I didn't know then was that the beginning of my love story wasn't so far away, and that New York would end up being my home for many more years to come ..."
After watching a couple of episodes from the final season of 'How I Met Your Mother', I felt inspired and extremely nostalgic. The long journey of how Ted Moseby finally met his wife is coming to an end. It seems like we have seen the best and worst of his character. It's like saying goodbye to someone you've known for so long. The current uncertain limbo he faces concerning his direction in life, in this season, is something I can definitely relate to, especially with my graduation date looming closer and closer. I channelled my inner Ted Moseby, the philosophical nerd and hopeless romantic, and came up with this interesting fiction piece. To read the rest of this short creative piece, please click here. Please, tell me what you think - I would love to know!
I've been a fan of 'Pretty Little Liars' since the beginning of the show's première. Since then, the show has had some incredible ground-breaking moments, but has also suffered from some pretty sad lows. Each year, the highly anticipated Halloween episode never fails to shock, surprise and entertain fans like myself. They've always almost gained a reputation amongst the fans, for being so brilliantly constructed. Almost ...
As Halloween draws near, nearly every single television channel is filled with spooky horror films, new trailer releases or television episodes celebrating the most supernatural day of the year. Now for some, this is incredible. It's a chance to get spooked, to feel the thrill, the rush of fear on the day that celebrates it all. As for me ... I definitely do not have the stomach to handle pure horror. There is just something so terrifying about those films or episodes, that just make me scared to shut my eyes at night - just in case something crawls from under the bed, or walks through walls to come for my bones! Dramatic ... I know. I have a very over-active imagination. So, for all you girls and guys out there in the same position as me, you don't have to worry! We can all stick together with our dramatic thrilling television episodes, which are just as exhilarating as any other horror movie out there. So without further ado and in no particular order, lets look at the alternatives ... Shall we?

I've been meaning to watch Heroes for years. I remember when I was growing up in high school, everyone was obsessed with the show. And ever since that point I decided somewhere down the line I will find out why, and now ... after all this time, I have finally gotten around to it. And I can easily say ... it does not disappoint.
'Heroes' is a well crafted, well written roller-coaster ride involving action, twists and turns, mystery, and three dimensional characters, which make this show incredibly entertaining and thrilling to watch. I highly recommend it. Never in my lifetime of watching television dramas, - and I assure you, my resume is pretty lengthy, - have a seen such a remarkable television show. Every single moment of this show, every single detail, ties into the bigger picture. You will be in for the time of your week. And I say this, because you will devour this series. The suspense lingering after every single episode is honestly a killer. A flawless well worthy season. I've never seen any television show craft such a perfect intricate first season. To say I'm impressed is an understatement!
